St. Thomas Early Learning Centre provides home-based services for families looking for an alternative to our 4 centre-based child care programs. Our Home Childcare Services offers children 0-12 a multi-aged group childcare opportunity in a home-based setting. Many of our programs offer special outings and learning opportunities right within our community.  Our homes provide environments with a natural feel including loose parts and practical play that is based on How Does Learning Happen? and offer nutritional menus based on Canada's Food Guide and Paint Your Plate. Home Childcare Providers are supported on a regular basis through our Team of Home Visitors.   Our Home Childcare Visitors are Registered Early Childhood Educators who visit homes regularly. Home Childcare is offered in Elgin County 24 hours a day, 7 days a week based upon mutually agreed times between the Caregiver and Parents.
